This may sound strange to most members of the forum but I need to gain weight.

I have lost 20+ kilos in the last 18 months or so and am now seriously underweight.

Had lots of tests - nothing physical found that could be causing it.

Any ideas?

Hello and welcome. I'll give this a bump back up the list. I'm thin T2 and hope to put a bit of weight on after my next HbA1c test (depending on what it says). I've never been overweight but lost too much on the NHS good carb, low fat diet. My weight stabilised when I started the low-carb, high fat diet recommended on here. Someone will be able to advise you. And me, possibly

My weight fluctuated between 10 and 22 stone for about 30 years so I have learned what makes me lose and gain weight.

To gain weight, all I would need to do is eat lots of high carb food with high fat. Junk food, basically. Potato wedges or nachos with lots of cheese and sour cream and high sugar chilli sauce. Pizza. Ice cream with hot fudge sauce. Baked products like muffins, slices and cake. Toasted cheese sandwiches, pita bread with cranberry and brie, even salads with croutons and high sugar/fat dressings.

Another option is supplement drinks like Ensure that have high carbs.

Good luck with your weight gain!
