Nerve Neuropathy a suagr rush?

I have done a lot of research in all areas Johnny so you will no doubt have seen my name come up but I am aware that others have pinched it now so some of the post that say fuggs may not be mine bit of a shame but there you go .

Well I have to say I'm more than amazed at how fasting 24-36 hours can be. Having swatted up on autophagy it now seems 36 hours is the optimum for cell debris clearing within the body. And I think Derry is right that maybe one good meal a day depending on the type of work you're doing would be sufficient. The last two days I haven't had any Dawn phenomena at all and my blood sugars have been pretty stable throughout the day hovering around 5 and 5.5. last night I had roast pheasant purchased from my local market cheaper than a chicken and no intense farming apply to those, celeriac chips sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, leeks, big dollop of butter on the top and then this morning blood sugar way down really nice I am such a happy bunny.
My situation is complicated somewhat in that I am having to chelate out heavy metal toxicity mainly from mercury fillings now removed, and lead. To do this I take alpha lipoic acid and dmsa for the lead. I have upped the dosage of Ala to 50 mg every 3 hours which is the correct protocol because ala can be very beneficial for nerve neuropathy. I have had no neurotic tingles or pains in my leg for the last 48 hours.

You shouldn't I take ala if you have any mercury in your body such as amalgams etc it can be very dangerous as being a powerful chelating agent it can pull Mercury from the teeth and redistribute around the body and in the brain not a situation you want to be in.
A typical chelation round is 3 days on and 4 days off and having to take ala every 3 hours maximum even through the night means pretty broken sleep so this seems to be affecting my cortisol levels somewhat which should if anything make my blood sugars even more unstable. But it does seem that this new eating regime and fasting as is the optimum way to go.

it does take a lot of willpower to dump the carbs because bread, cerials etc. and all the other junk are so ingrained in our everyday lifestyle there is no doubt we have become addicted to them and to the sugar that they contain but it doesn't
take long to break bad addiction, and I have no doubt that modern foods are chemically constructed to form, and after that fat and protein is the way.
I am quite appalled at the NHS recommendation for such a daily high level of carbs when it's carbs that's causing the problems with insulin levels and insulin resistance. it's that old Dogma again.

Hi johnnyxs, yes it is the last thing we diabetics usually get under control ....our morning b.sugars on waking....reason: we are ill,our livers have had to try and store all the excess glucose that our body can no longer utilise....hence it can take up to a year for that excess glucose , to normalise, but the good news is,it will happen , so long as we are not putting in more foods that make glucose...ie heavy Carbs.like potatoes, flour products,( spaghetti, rice, etc,) the great Dr. Richard Bernstein recommends limiting or cutting out most of these whilst trying to lower bs levels,
it is the spikes in bs levels that cause the nerves to be killed off in their millions , which leads to neuropathy, so as diabetes is primarily a disease of the nerves it can affect our nerves in any part of our bodies, Pleased to say my neuropathy in my feet ( which felt like i was walking on glass splinters, has now gone.

you never really know what advice to trust as everything on the net seems so feasible. These 'experts' quote various studies and research results but you are often left wondering how all these so called experts can hold such differing views ?

I've had a huge amount of amalgam fillings in my mouth for over 50 years. I had 3x molars 1/2 filled with amalgam when I was about 9 years old by a unqualified quack practising at the London Docks. I dread to think how many teeth were amalgam filled over my lifetime.

The last time I saw one particular Dentist back in 2007 She removed my last remaining Amalgams and replaced them so I had no Amalgam left. I have often wondered if She did that so that I couldn't sue the practise at a later date because she then announced that She was removing me from her register .

I have a job trying to keep all this stuff in my memory as I have quite a few conditions and need to research so much data . I usually draw up a quick diagram to act as a aide memoire which helps me a lot.

heres one I copied from Jason Fungs youtube video 'A new paradyme of Insulin resistance. It seems its all about removing the fat from the Liver and Pancreas to reverse and eliminate T2 Diabetes.

Correct , thats why we need to limit the carbs as they turn readily into glucose, and the body lays down reserves of fat ,which it calls upon when needed and makes glucose, its a balancing act to achieve food in / food burn’t /stored as fat ,so all the best ,clive

sounds like you're well on the way to a new lifestyle of healthy nutrition Fuggs.

From what i understand of Jason Fungs explanation and the observations and test done by Dr Fox it seems the key to reversing T2D is to remove the fat in the liver and pancreas so that they both start to function efficiently again. Dr Fox reckons just 3 weeks is all that is needed to lose 30% of the excess Liver fat and about 8x weeks for the pancreas to start producing sufficient Insulin .

I think I reached this point about 3 months ago after following a low carb diet when I noticed a significant change in my general health .

The main change I noticed was that after 2 years my stools suddenly changed colour from a light sandy colour back to a more normal brown colour which in light of the Fugg & Fox videos I now believe indicated that my both my Liver had recovered and was producing bile again. I must do some research on this as I'm sure this might prove to be a significant indicator of Pancreatic and Liver function .
