I posted some time ago about being referred to see a neurologist to see if there may be any other reason for how numb my legs are, even affecting my arms now.
The hospital have just called to give me an appointment for 12th of October. Even an early morning one. Not to long to wait now. At least now I may get some answers. If not then at least I will know
 
That's smashing news! Well done for persevering and fingers crossed you get some answers and some treatment.
 
I so hope they can get to the bottom of it and find the cause and some treatment to help you. Good luck.

It was my neurologist who first ordered a HbA1c done due to my neuropathy symptoms. My new neurologist thinks MG wise I am going down hill but congratulated me on my control of my diabetes so I think if you are going to get answers then your neurologist is your best bet here's wishing you good luck in your quest.

The neurologist may feel a nerve conduction test or an EMG test or both are called for they actually test how well the nerves are working that will mean a further appointment in a different department so I am sorry to say the neurologist may not be able to give you a quick answer but will probably be more able to determine what is going on so you should get some more information on what is happening hopefully.
 
Sorry if I'm raising something that's been tested before, but please make sure you are tested for B12 if you haven't already had a test.

Hope the neurologist is able to get the root of your problems.
 

I'm a "marginal" Type2 diabetic whose condition was hijacked by a diagnosis of myasthenia gravis(MG) in March 2018 after 3 years of misdiagnosis for double vision. I now find myself on a daily intake of 25+ pills some of which are not conducive. MG is heavily monitored and you find yourself torn on priorities. But at least you know what you've got. On a plus side I lost nearly 3 stone largely through eating/swallowing difficulties.
