Neuropathy and Socks

Type of diabetes

Can anyone help me out with the mine field that is Diabetic socks . I have Neuropathy and am looking for socks that will help. there seems to be masses of "Diabetic" socks . Can anyone recommend some that actually help with Neuropathy ?
 
Socks or socks plus shoes / slippers or both? Hot feet / cold feet / something else? Info please .....

Don't know .. But the socks I was told to only use by the LCH after my heart bypass op were called soft tops .. I now noticed online these are also called diabetes socks ... Will be intresting to see why ! I have a scar down my leg where they took the vane from so this is why I use them
 
Hi I have neuropathy and get my socks from Cosyfeet who do soft top and extra wide with no seams for both men and women hope this helps
 
Cosyfeet seam free diabetic friendly socks .
Wool plus other polyester - loose mark free tops .
Expensive at £18.50 for 3 pairs perhaps ?

Worth it - as certainly do the trick and business with me
Wear sheepskin lined slippers too .
When it comes to my toots (feet) only the best for them !

Cold feet , numb toes and seriously sensitive feet even to touch , wearing loose slippers when I really must go out and actually wearing lining sox in house as any other sox I have feel to tight, feet swell and tightness increases neuropathy pain.

Possibly need loose top nonridged socks ?
Cosyfeet supply 2 sizes/choices of tops on their diabetic friendly range.
This will allow for the swelling and discomfort later in the day .

Are you on any neuropathy pain meds ?

Need to keep feet warm is essential with this condition .
 
A company called HJ Halls sell soft top socks.
 
My podiatrist recommended non-elasticated socks and I found them in M&S. Whether they help with neuropathy, I don't know but being non-elasticated means they don't grip the leg as such and shouldn't restrict blood flow.
 
Found thermal socks in home bargains. They work well for me and no seam. Black only.
 
This is a subject very important to me. I wear bridgedale socks as the are partly made from merino wool which has antiseptic properties and are very warm. They are a bit tight on my size 12s though.
