Sorry, new here and living in a foreign country so access to advice is not so easy, so please be gentle.

I have been diagnosed with type 2 for more than 10 years now... I have progressively suffered more and more with neuropathy starting with my feet... most of my toes, a couple of fingers, part of one hand and below one knee all of which I can cope with on a daily basis.

Around 3 years ago now I started to loose sensation internally, and now cannot feel anything from stimulation to intercourse... and with the diabetes and medication I have zilch in the way of libido either I am devastated that I can not long get enjoyment from being intimate with my husband and it is seriously affecting our marriage as he thinks its all in my head.

Has anyone else struggled with this and have any tips to get things back on track?

Hello and welcome,

That sounds very distressing. How are you managing your diabetes? Are you keeping it well controlled? Are you on medication for it?

Before we can really offer any suggestions we will really need some more information. In the meantime a virtual hug from me.

Hello and Welcome - I am sending a virtual hug your way.

Sorry, this is not something I can advise or help you with but in replying it will put your post back at the top so maybe someone will come along with some advice for you

Take care of yourself

Thank you I have been on 4 x Metformin, 2 x Gliclazide and 1 x Onglyza per day for the diabetes (plus other meds) which until recently have been keeping me under control. I now have a weekly insulin jab as the readings have been going haywire (possibly because of menopause) now on my third month and things are perfect again.

May I ask what kind of HbA1c levels you are seeing?
"Perfect" for some may not be optimal for you.
