Neuropathy? Should I worry?

Hello all....having finally got reasonable control almost a year after diagnosis, I'm now seeing 3's and occasional 12's, but mostly 6-8's I'm finding some symptoms that are likely neuropathy. My right foot doesn’t experience heat and touch with the same 'volume' as my left. Also I had a bad sprain in my right foot about 3 weeks ago and I'm finding an ongoing intermittent feeling of weakness, tingling, and after a long drive the symptoms seem to have increased. I know that having brought sugar levels down that neuropathy symptoms can increase, perhaps this is to be expected. I will bring it up with my GP next week but would appreciate advice on how to 'steer' the doctor to which action around it. (Yes, GP relationship separate issue). Any reassurance or cautions you would like to share will be well received....Thanks
Clive

Are you sure it's neuropathy, has it been officially diagnosed?
If so you do need to take it seriously and monitor the state of tyour feet daily. Never ignore the slightest injury. Bernstein would say. Never walk barefoot.
You have improved your numbers, but still have a way to go. Keeping steady at the high4s and low5s should be your target. 7 is the tipping point into danger of complications, so those 8s need to go.
I for example rarely see a 6.( I'm T2, diet and MET) Fergus has written that he rarely sees a 7( T1)
It's probably easier to cut your carbs further than adjust medication.
cut down on cereals and their products such as bread, pasta and cakes etc. Also potatoes, especially old ones, rice and roots like parsnips.

Thanks for this my friend, no not offical diagnosis but something I should probably push for one way of another. I suppose I've relaxed a bit now my numbers are more towards normal, (having 10mts in the late teens and early twentys pre and 2 hours post) and there are things I need to push for with my GP/Nurse. It sound like I need to see my numbers come down a little more.
