I don't know what the difference is between trainers for neuropathy and for normal feet, but one type you might want to look at is Nike Frees (other companies probably make similar now). They are designed so that the soul flexes with the foot in all directions to try and imitate the advantage of going barefoot. Whether it works or not I don't know but I am now on my 4th pair and they are the comfiest footwear I have ever had.
You might also want to go into a good independent sports shop, I have problems with getting shoes to fit they either rub my ankle or I walk out of them, sometimes I can do both. I spent over an hour in my local sports shop as the assistant went through virtually every design trying to find one that fitted. They even had me on their treadmill to see how they went instead of the normal couple of steps up and down the store.
Good trainers aren't cheap but a good fitting shoe is worth its weight in gold.
