Hi new to the forum. My fasting level this morning was 7.2 at 7.00am and went for a walk and measured again after 1 hour of walk and was 8.3 before sitting down for breakfast.I would welcome some feedback on these readings.

Hi,all, thank you for your posts.I had half med size home made pizza followed by a slice of cake and finished with a cup of tea.But what I am interested in knowing is the rise in sugar from 7.2 to 8.3 without breakfast and after having done some walking.I expected a slight rise in first reading but not the second.
Hi @Baras and welcome to the forum. You could try having mouthful of food before going for a walk next time as your liver will continue to dump glucose into your system until you eat something.

Exercise can cause the liver to release some of it's stored glycogen to fuel the body. This is fine for a non diabetic, but for us this tends to result in raised BG.
