Yes, when I visited the diabetes nurse recently for the first time she discussed the results of my fasting blood tests. She mentioned I had some liver damage too, but didn't seem too concerned about it, particularly when I told her I've stopped drinking alcohol for the forseeable future. She commented that it wasn't too bad and the liver can repair itself.
I'm more concerned about my kidneys to be honest. I had a couple of kidney stones removed a few years ago and my left kidney has been grumbling since before Xmas. A recent hospital visit confirms I have a new stone in my left kidney. I'm just waiting for an ultrascan appointment and then hopefully they will break it up with the zapper machine.
