New diagnosis, no meds prescribed yet. (sorry, long)

My hunch is that your fatigue is related to your BP meds and the drop to 100/60 from 200/140... that's a pretty substantial drop and your body is going to take some time to adjust. Have a chat with your doctor to determine if there is a connection and if so what you might be able to do to mitigate symptoms.

I'm a long standing type 1. I'm sorry you are feeling so poorly. The ketogenic diet has quite a following and seems to show positive results for some type 2s and pre diabetics. I'd suggest a meeting with a nutritionist and/or dietitian to ensure your diet meets your personal needs. In the meantime try high fibre whole grain carbohydrates like porridge, granary breads and pulses to give you a background sustainable energy source and good luck.
