10 days into my first Freestyle Libre sensor and really like the wealth of data i now have to manage my type 1. Now need to decide if it warrants the £100pm cost..
I am going with my wife to a spa tomorrow and wondered what I should avoid if anything. I imagine the steam room won’t do the adhesive any good but wondered about sauna or jacuzzi- will the high temps affect/damage the sensor?
Wondered what everyone else’s experiences are?
Also got me wondering about holidays in hot countries. I usually keep my blood tester in the shade and it displays warning if the temp strays outside optimal temps - this won’t be so easy with the sensor attached to my arm. Anyone had any issues here?
Sorry if these q’s have already been answered - did a quick search and couldn’t find anything
no experience myself of wearing one in a spa environment by have worn one in Italy last July
( temperatures around 34-36 degrees C )
no issues with the libre - it worked fine for me.
