Looks lovely! Can you please post a picture of the packet or who the supplier is, also who makes low carb croutons? ThanksHello everyone,
I discovered a new low carb instant soup, made 100% from Chicken breast powder, it is allergen free, low carb, sugar free, gluten free, I bought it for my mother. It is a high protein soup and contains: tarragon, chives, collagen and a slice of dried lime that gives it a wonderful taste. You can add: cauliflower rice, noodles, low carb croutons or vegetables. I have attached two photos. We prepared two soups: one with low carb noodles and the other with low carb croutons.
The chicken powder is obtained from air dried chicken breast and has a lovely smoothy consistency. No cooking involved you will have a great low carb soup but high in protein in a matter of minutes.Hi
This sounds good but am unsure about using chicken powder can’t you use left over chicken or just do the soup with the veg?
But anyway it does look yummy!
Have purchased the soup on Amazon and the supplier is Protermars. Not sure if low carb croutons are available in shops but can make your own at home using low carb bread. Also there are lots of low carb products on the market like low carb rice, low carb noodles, cauliflower rice.Looks lovely! Hi,in my opinion the chicken stock consumption won't have same nutritional benefits that you will get from a low carb/high protein soup made with air dried chicken breast. Also it is worth checking ingredients on chicken stock pack, has lots of preservatives while the keto instant soup is made only from natural ingredients and no preservatives.I make mine with a chicken stock cube. its cheap and cheerful. Can also do a pea and ham soup with a different stock cube. Makes a cheap base for a stirfry too. add spices and herbs to taste. Bit of ginger or 5 spice and its chow mein. With curry powder it can become a mulligatawny substitute. Let your imagination run riot in the kitchen.
The air dried chicken breast is produced by Protermars(available on Amazon) and it is definitely fit for human consumption. I have ordered their chicken snacks this week and have to say that they have created a great ket/ low carb meat snack. No preservatives and packed with natural flavours.I don;t want to discourage anyone, but dried chicken powder is what they use in petfoods, and is usually not fit for human consumption. Thr UK supplier seems to have shut up shop, and it is listed as unavalable with an unspecified waiting time of up to infinity.
amazon no longer able to supply it either so it really is not aound at the moment.
How did you manage that? Amazon is not listing it anymore. Amazon does list their Pork Snack at £72 per kilo which is pretty steep.. Oh I forgot the £3.25 P&PThe air dried chicken breast is produced by Protermars(available on Amazon) and it is definitely fit for human consumption. I like that nice touch at the bottom of the page - the one that shows the soup being purchased together with a tin of proper chicken soup as a bumper bundle. The snacks look great, not sure about the soup though https://www.amazon.co.uk/Keto-Prote...83511&s=grocery&search-type=ss&sr=1-2-catcorr
£29.99 seems a bit steep for dried chicken powder, I could buy at least 6 fresh chickens for that, so 6 roast chicken dinners and a gallon of soup from the carcasses
I checked the Knorr ingredients - main ones are lactose (sugar) and starch so not a low carb/keto option.I like that nice touch at the bottom of the page - the one that shows the soup being purchased together with a tin of proper chicken soup as a bumper bundle.
Edit to add: Chicken powder is also mrrketed by Knorr or Amoy in kilo quantity at much lower cost than the 250g tube.
Indeed, the soup one has 1g of carb per serving so as a broth it is still keto compatible. But you are right, the serving has less than 1 g of protein,I checked the Knorr ingredients - main ones are lactose (sugar) and starch so not a low carb/keto option.
That s my go to soup seasoning too. About the only "brand" I buyI use the Marigold vegan Bouillon instant vegetable stock powder
