Hi everyone I am a new member and was looking for some advice, my husband has been a diabetic for three years but just recently things have really gone haywire, his readings have gone so high 25.9 at one point, the nurse at the doctors was going to send him to hospital for an insulin injection but decided to try him on gliclazide 80mg one in the morning and one at night plus his usual metformin. His levels are still not right, they shoot up when he eats.He has to keep a diary of his readings now, last night it went down to 4 so I gave him a sugary drink and then after dinner it was 12.9 sorry forgot to say he is type 2 diabetic. How do others cope with their levels going up and down like this as he feels really rough when this happens and has constant headaches and feels very irritable.Any advice from someone experiencing these problems would be appreciated, thanks.
