Hello everyone
I'm new to the forum so just wanted to pop in and say Hi
I'm Type 2 and am taking glucophage slow release metformin and Gliclazide tablets. I started victoza yesterday (though had to get someone else to inject it as i was too petrified!), read some positive and not so positive comments about it so I'll have to wait and see what happens!!

Hi TP and welcome to the forum There is a long thread on Victoza here:

viewtopic.php?f=26&t=9281

where you might find a lot of useful information if you haven't already found what you'd like to know. I'm sure you'll get used to injecting very quickly. If you have any questions, just ask and someone will know the answer.

As you are new to the forum I think you could benefit from the basic information which the Forum Monitors hand out to new members. Even if you're not newly diagnosed I think you will find a lot of useful information in here especially about diet.

Thanks to you both, it's all a bit scarey but with all the information available on here a lot of my questions will be answered!

Hi I,m new here, I was prescibed victoza a week ago, after many months of high bg, my last hba1 was 8.6, in one week my bg is averaging out at 6.3 in morning (first time in 7 years) and I have lost 6 pounds in weight. So far its looking good, getting used to injecting, dont like it, but needs must.
It was only because my own gp pushed for the prescription that I got it, as many consultants wont presctibe on price alone....
so hoping things continue to go well
