Hi all have just found this site and have recently been diagnosed with reative hypoglycemia which has been a real pain in the bum, as it seems to have been going on for like forever. Im still in the early stages so having to test my sugars very regularly ( sore fingers now) . Still i know its gonna be a bit hard for a while, need to find out what upsets them so much, im 2 years post op for a gastric bypass, and have found out that this is more common than i first thought which is really nice to know your not on your own going through this.
Any tips advice or anything else would be really good, and i look forward to chatting to some of you some more.

Hi Chucky
Welcome to the forum. I am a type 1 on insulin Novarapid 3 times a day and Lantus Solar star at night, I also take 2 x 500mg twice daily of metformin.
I have been a type 1 since i was 6 yrs old and i am 42yrs old. I do have some complications.
All i wanted to say is make sure you listen to any advice you get either from this site or medical team. I never followed a diet properly but wish i had listened.
Make sure you watch the a mount of carbohydrates you are eating, on this forum you will ffind a carb counting site, take a look. If you can keep your sugar levels at an even keel, between 4.5-7 you will have a good control.
Please feel free to keep in contact, but just remember it's our own experiences on here, we are not doctors.
Take care.

Hi Chucky and welcome to the forum I am not quite sure if you have diabetes or not as your profile says you are Type 2. Here is some information we give to new members and maybe some of this will be helpful to you.
