Hello I have been given a new Assu-chek Performa Nano I have done the control solution test and it reads 2.5 then press and it flashes between 2.5 and OK what i want to know now is when i take my blood test do i take the reading of what it says or do i take the 2.5 off of the reading any help please Thanks
The control solution is just used to test that the readings taken from a particular pot (or batch) of strips are within the correct range, which should be listed on the label.
The reading you get from your drop of blood is your actual glucose level and you don't need to make any adjustments. (Except perhaps to your diet if the readings are consistently on the high side after you've eaten certain foods! )
