Hiya, I am new to all this, have been having fasting bloods of between 8-9s every day , have been called back to docs next week as last weeks bloods seemingly weren't good, thing is I have gone through a lot of the information on this site, more about T1 hypo's etc, but really not sure how to go about getting my fasting numbers down.
Have bought the 8 week Blood Sugar diet book and started reading.
I am hoping they are not wanting to put me on any meds as I take lot already as I have Dystonia,Fibro and osteoarthritis. Things have got worse, as I see it just myself not docs advice, that since they put me on Statins, a lot of unwanted additional health issues have worsened. Anyone else have problems with them?
Any advice welcomed.

Susan.

If you feel some things have got worse since you began taking statins, you should discuss it with your Doctor.

Some people, not all by any means, experience side effects or a general malaise when using statins. Where these side-effects impact your life or other medical conditions, you may be offered an alternative drug, or depending upon why they were prescribed, it may be decided to see how you get along without for a while.

Have you had a look at the Patient Information Leaflet that's usually in the package for your statins, that may help you understand if the things you feel have got worse are more or less likely to be related to your statin.

It could also be worthwhile asking your pharmacist to check all your medicines are compatible with each other. Sometimes if combinations of drugs are taken, the addition of another can just put things off balance, requiring tweaking.

Good luck with it all.
