Done my first test this morning, when I got up before breakfast 5.1 at 0848. Two hours later at 1103 I've done my second test, breakfast of porridge and muesli mixed. Between times, sat reading and took a parcel to post office so not really any exercise tested at 8.4. Now I need some advice on what this means as I thought eating porridge instead of my normal ceral was good. I normally go to work at about 0300 or 0330 so need something reasonably quick and filling.
By the way, does anyone have problems bleeding. I've had to set the lancet on 9 the max setting to draw blood
Since being diagnosed a few weeks ago (it seems months) I've cut back on the amount I eat, following the GI diet and also cutting back on carbs a little. I had basmati rice for main meal last night with turkey curry so was pleased at 5.1 this morning. I've also lost a few pounds according to the scales although it doesn't feel like it.
