Hi Sue and welcome to the forum.

You will find lots of great advice and help on here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Read around the forum and ask as many questions as you want. You will always get answers.

Basically, you need to cut down your carb intake and once you have that under control you should feel much better. It is normal to feel wary about eating anything at the beginning.

It's best to get a testing meter and test before and 2 hours after eating to find out which foods affect your levels. Alot of GPs now refuse to prescribe the meter and sticks for T2s but most of us have bought our own. You can't control your BG levels without a meter.

Let us know more about you, your blood results and an idea of what you eat.

Good luck with it all

Hi Sue and welcome to the forum To help you know a bit about diabetes, here is some information we give to new members. If you have any questions please ask as there is always someone here to help. Chocoholicnomore gave you some useful advice there. I think you should think about seeing your GP if you still feel unwell. It may not be caused by diabetes at all.

Thank you all information has been a great help.i dont feel as confused now.going back to docs in new year to discuss treatment
