Being a diabetic
Hello all, My name is Nicola, I am 43 and have been a diabetic for 30 years, I am hoping by joining this forumn I can get some help . I am struggling with my diabeties and dont think I have ever really come to terms with it, however now after having had lots of lazer surgery for rethnotherpy (sp) and having been told the next step for my eyes is surgery I am scared. My diabetic doctoe has refused to see me again due to the fact the I have missed so many appointments and even though I have emailed him an apology I am still without care. My BS run around the 11 mark most of the time. Another one of my concerns is my weight - I have a good 6 stone to lose and am desperate.

Sorry if this seems like a moaning post, but i am at a loss what to do now. Thank you for reading. x

Hi Nicola and welcome to the forum This is some information that you might find useful. It could even help reduce the progression of your complications if you are lucky. Can you change Doctor ? you need to see someone. Does he have the right to refuse to treat you ? Others on here who know the NHS system better than me could answer you on this. Ask as many questions as you need to as there is usually someone who can help you.
