Hi My name is David I am 53 and was diagnosed about four months ago with type2-bit of a shock to system!-I had lost a fair amount of weight and was going to the toilet more often but put that down to getting older!-In any event found out I had bs of 35!!-on one injection a day plus tablets and at last review last week down to 3 month average of 9 and put weight back on-main problem is neuropathy mainly in feet and lega/thighs-seems to have got worse as sugar levels improved-is this normal and would like to hear other peoples experiences-taking lyrica but only at night as makes me feel like a zombie in the day-finding it very difficult to manage and getting very low with it as it effects my whole life day in day out-luckily I work mainly from home which helps-look forward to some feedback
All the best
David

Re: New to forun!

Hi David and welcome to the forum Hopefully in time, if you can keep your levels down, your complications could improve, or at least the possibility of having new ones may diminish, but I don't have any personal experience of this. Other members will share their experiences with you. Here is some information we give to new members to help them get started on the road to good diabetes control. Ask as many questions as you need to as we would all like to help you.
