Hi all

I am a type 2 and new to insulin, I have been on tablets for about 6 years and due to constant suger levels 15 and above, I now have the jabs  I do not seem to be reducing my levels very fast as they are still 11/12/13, I also have an increased appitite late in the evening before I take the insulin at night. Can anyone help or advise?

HI
I am a type 1 and have been 36yrs. How long have you been on insulin and which insulin are you on.
As i am not sure of the thigs above i wouldn't want to offer advice until i know what insulin u take.
Are you under a diabetic nurse and GP or consultant at the hospital.
Make sure you eat a healthy meal in the evening and have a small snack just before bed and your last injection.
I am sorry to not offer much until i find out more about your insulin, but please feel free to contact me at any time.
Take care
Tracey
