What type of insulin you using ?
How many units you titrate and use ?

More info to help us help you .
Are you seeing a DSN (diabetic specialist nurse)
GP or a DSN can guide and help you to find your needs of
units of insulin needed .
What regime or routine are you currently using ?
Basal / Bolus insulin's ?
Be helpful to know .

How often in a day - you have to inject the insulin ?

What you eating/meals yesterday ?

Basal background insulin just once a day ?
Here is some diet info to help you along .

The bread with your cheese sandwich and potato with lunch/tea are heavier carb sourced foods .
These will transfer into glucose and can spike the blood sugar's upwards .

Try to test yourself before eating then couple hours after eating ?
This will reflect and show you the food spikes .
You will start to see a pattern with certain foods that they will spike you
greater than other foods .

Write down two list's of the foods that don't spike you and one that does spike you .
Keep going with all meals doing the do/don't spike lists .
These will help you get your BG levels down alongside your insulin units needs .
Plus you will end up with a food list to shop with - this way .

It takes time - but you will get there .
Alway's seek your HCP'S advice with your insulin titrate needs .
