Been using Tresiba for 3 months now and it's much flatter than Lantus was for me.
I didn't realise Tresiba costs more. Figures I suppose. So probably doctors will only prescribe it as a last resort.
Just had a hypo...feel dreadful. Had a bottle of lucozade in my panic as was walking around asda with my three year old who was havimg a tantrum. When I checked levels were 5.1 but I was shaking so much and my heart rate was through the roof. Had a kinder egg chocolate & a chocolate coin as that was in my bag. Ruined the day now!
My som has autism and can be very difficult at times..especially with my diabetes playing havoc. Bgs this am were 11.2 upon waking. I took 4 units immediately. I had an eat natural cereal bar 14g carbs and didnt take any insulin as was rushing. Checked them two hours later and they were 12. I took a further 4 units. Silly mistake! Then 1.5 hours later that happened.
Am not eating cauliflower cheese from last night. Levels are 18....because of sugar. Have taken 6 units and im going to rest before the school run at 3 for my eldest...
