Hello, I am type 2. I was diagnosed 4 years ago.
I take 2 Metformin, 1 Januvia, 2 Glycazide and 2 Omacor daily.
Took Avandia for a while without realising I was a guinea pig. Put on 2 stone in a matter of weeks and it took 6 months to get it off. I exercise 5 hours per week and find it beneficial not to eat wheat at all, and eat fruit only on weekends. Gave up smoking 8 months ago - the best single thing I have done for my health and now am on the road to improving my holistic quality of life. I do not drink alcohol - have been teetotal for 25 years.
What now? :|

Hi Dragonfly and welcome to the forum Well done - you are doing very well. Particularly giving up smoking - I personally know how difficult that is  What now you ask? I can give you some advice to look at to help you manage your diabetes as well as possible and maybe reduce some of your medication. This information was written by the Forum Monitors for new members. I know you are not newly diagnosed but I think this advice will still be useful to you.
