Thanks Liam, much appreciated@PaulBouchier - Hello and Welcome to the Forum. I will tag @daisy1 who will provide you with some basic information that all newbies receive. Have a read and ask any questions.
Had a bad stomach for a few days but was told in advance and so was prepared. Doing OK now, no upsets, just giving it a chance to kick in. Know I need to up the exercise though as I work from home now and I've got pretty lazyWell done sir that's a great achievement.. How are you reacting to the Metformin? I had a lot of trouble with bad guts (in fact very bad guts) so gave up in the end and just get by on LCHF at the moment. Seems ok to me ...just about to get latest HbA1c next week.
Thanks Mrs - Nearly under 11 stone now, not been this size since my teens haha.Well done on your weight loss that's fantastic, as @liam1955 said Daisy will post some info for you that you will no doubt find helpful
that was even worse for me.. constipation then explosive diarrhoea. Just gave it up completely..@PaulBouchier - @bulkbiker - Metformin can give you stomach upsets and cause diarrhoea/constipation. Don't suffer - go back to see your GP and/or Diabetic Nurse as it can be changed to a slow release tablet.
Seems I'm the lucky one here. Did it gradually, 1 tablet for a week, bad stomach, then calmed down, now 2 tablets, perfectly ok now, upping to the 3 next week. Levels coming down nicely. I don't blame you for giving up. Hope you went back to the doc/nurse and got something more suitable for youthat was even worse for me.. constipation then explosive diarrhoea. Just gave it up completely..
well in fact just LCHF.. not on any meds at the moment. Intend to keep it that way.Seems I'm the lucky one here. I know. if only we can persuade our GP's and Diabetes Nurses to adopt this or at least get people to try it we could do wonders..Mate, I used to have really bad indigestion, night sweats, just general bad health. Since I've been on LCHF it's all gone! The transformation is incredible, not just the diabetes, but everything.
