HI Everyone

Although I have had Type 2 Diabetes for 11 years, Ive only decided to have a look at this website really today. I had my first child August 2007 and had to inject insulin throughout the pregnancy then went back to Type 2 after the pregnancy. Im going to pre-conception clinic in hope to lose a bit of weight and get my blood pressure down for baby no 2. I had to lose 22lbs of which i have lost 11lbs in a month by the way of a combination of diets thrown together in a hotch potch but nevertheless basically it is high protein low carb if not better word for it. So its a combination of atkins, celebrity slim and the south beach diet rolled into one ( 6 small meals a day) I have just recently been buying low carb produce from the websites as after 2 weeks, meat and veg were just giving me boredom.

Ive read some of the posts, particulary about food. I have just ordered some low carb pancakes and sugar free maple syrup in time for pancake day ( i have a very sweet tooth)

I suffered alot through my last pregancy with pre-eclampsia symptoms and sugar in my water and was almost in every weekend from week 20 onwards and finally had a strong 71/2 lb baby at week 35. this time i would like to go full term and have a better pregnancy.

Any help on pregnancy and/or low carb food would be appreciated.

sam
