For 18 years of my life, I was embarrassed to admit I was a Type 1 diabetic. I was embarrassed to admit I was different from everyone I went to school with. I was embarrassed I had to eat or drink juice in front of peers when the time didn't permit.
 
I think many people on here have had the same experience.

As a fat type 2 my problem used to be that I felt people were judging me every time they saw me eating - especially if it was non diet food.

I'm well past that.

Hello and welcome Mazzah.Im relatively new here as well having just been diagnosed with i think Type 2.Ill be finding that out for sure on Thursday.Theres plenty of info on this forum and the other members are very helpful

hi my name is black cat sorry to hear u are embarrassed and feel different cos you are not and try to be yourself and stop thinking about other people but more on yourself about yourself and today I have just joined on hear all the best black cat

Sorry to hear how you have felt about your diabetes .
You will fit right in on the forum and feel at home as I guess we are all 'different' you are definitely not alone
