Hi,
I'm Steve from Darlington, my Daughter has been type one for about 8 years and I have just been diagnosed Type 3c.
I'm only two weeks in but insulin has worked its magic, seems to be fairly stable already.

One question to anyone, I have pins and needles all the time in my lower back and top of my legs, is this common?

thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the forum.

I personally do not get pins and needles in my lower back and upper legs, but those symptoms you are describing could be Sciatica, though I am no doctor or therapist, just a thought.

Thanks

Welcome Steve
There are many possibilities for the cause of your discomfort, sciatica or peripheral neuropathy brought on by your diabetes are just a couple but.
No one here is qualified to give medical advice if you are at all concerned by your symptoms, a visit to your Dr would be your best course of action.
I thought this might be useful from Dr Google https://spinecenterbr.com/numbness-and-tingling-when-to-worry/ don't let it freak you out though, it lists just about every ailment known to man.

Hi, thanks for your advice / pointer, really appreciated , I have all the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy.. I've booked myself in.
