Newbie saying hi.

Newbie
Just thought I would say hello. I was diagnosed type 1 in october 2009 and have been on a learning curve ever since. The first thing I thought of when diagnosed was forums and registered on a couple of diabetic sites, but having just re-discovered this one I thought it was time to see what I have been missing.
I have attended a couple of meets through a different site that has helped me greatly come to terms and learn about my condition. Because of this I have met many great people that I wouldn't have if it wasn't for my diabetes.

First question though must be. Does anybody ever use the chat room?

Hi ypauly and welcome to the forum I'm glad you re-discovered this forum - there is so much information on here. Have a good look round and ask all the questions you like. Having diabetes can be a great way of making friends with whom you have something in common. I know you were diagnosed in 2009 but I'm sure you can find something useful in this advice written by the Forum Monitors for new members.
