Hi, got diagnosed in sep , was at the diabetic spec last wk she is suggesting that I go on slow releasing insulin , I am on glimcide 80mg twice a day and metformin 2 x500mg twice a day , my bf level after fasting is 10+ then I am hypo at lunch time of after 3.1 , I am only 33 and slightly overweight . I do exercise and work full time , I'm always on the go , does anyone think the insulin will help .
I also had 2 take a urine Sam with me it was cloudy and the test came bk clear . Does anyone else have these probs x

Hi i suggest you ask your gp to refer you to a diabetic diatician as you say you have plenty of excercise and work hard you should be advised on a diet relevent to your lifestyle. If your diabetic nurse suggested you go on slow release insulin i would be concerned that with your current medication it would increase your chances of more hypos, try the diet route first.
