Hi,

New to this forum, just wanted to say hi.

I'm a very frustrated Type 2 insulin dependent diabetic who is just starting to sort myself out with support - struggling with high sugars overnight at the minute - go to bed with a reading of 6.4 - woke up this morning with a reading of 31.4 - how I got to work I will never know!!

Hi Kirsty and welcome to the forum Have a read of this and see if this advice can help you stabilise your levels - it was put together by the Forum Monitors for new members (including those who are not newly diagnosed).

The fact you did get to work shows your sense of commitment so you do have some discipline. I am keeping to a healthier lifestyle by concentrating on the positives in my case I will be fitter to win more badminton games! I have also threatened that this time next year I will arrive at the pub wearing a crop vest, as I will of lost weight so want to show the 6pack I'll have also the cut off sleeves will show my accident scars which always starts conversation, I'm sure you can think of your own positives or just ways to annoy friends as in my last example!
