hi all im Bernie im a newbie just groping about here im t2 on metformin850ml twice daily coping not so bad wondering has anyone any tips or advice for painful joints namely knee suffering greatly at present, thanks

hi squire nice of you to get bk to me and thanks for the welcome im t2 as I say and diagnosed a yr past in feb had seriously high bp and sugar levels when first diagnosed on a combination of bp meds and metformin twice daily plus a statin iv only just recently been suffering this bad knee and wondering is it linked to the diabetes thanks again Squire
 
Hi and welcome,

I've never heard of bad knees being linked to diabetes. Sounds a bit like arthritis to me However, statins can cause muscle and joint pains. Have a read of the leaflet in your packet and see if the possible side effects apply to you.
