Hi, I am a newly diagnosed type 1 diabetic. It has come as a complete shock as i had no real symptoms except for being thirsty and weeing a lot for two days. I had assumed it was a urine infection so had the shock of my life coming away from the hospital the next day having to inject myself 4times a day with insulin. Anyway I am going on holiday for a week abroad and I'm a bit nervous whether I have prepared sufficiently. I have ordered one of those frio wallets to store my unopened insulin is this ok? Will it be kept cold enough for the flight. Its only to menorca so not too long a flight.

Frio Wallets are great at keeping insulin cool in warm weather, have a look at the following as it has some useful information for those who are travelling abroad, if unsure about anything ask your DSN:

Hope you have a great time
