newly diagnosed daughter

Hi all, Im sian, and have 3 daughters, 2 of which are diabetic. My middle daughter 17 ,and was diagnosed at 2 years of age, my 11 year old has just been diagnosed.. Even though im not new to diabetes.. It was a massive shock.. :shock:

I was reading about the insulin inhaler, and how amazing that would be for everyone if it were to be available !!!
 
Hi, sorry to hear about the diagnosis of your daughter. I also have 3 children, 2 of which are type 1, along with my husband who was diagnosed at the age of 14. It is a huge shock and will take you time to adjust to this. I agree, the inhaler would make things much easier and it's good to be positive about the advances in diabetic care, which hopefully will be in the not too distant future. leggott
 
Welcome to the forum.

Nothing really prepares parents for any diagnosis. We'd love our kids to grow up free of everything but sometimes it just doesn't work out quite as planned. Hope your daughter isn't too bummed after already seeing her sister battle the blood sugars.
