If one is diagnoised with type 2 do you have to inform Dvla? You don't have to send back licence if it has less than 3 months left.
The key factor is not Type 1 / Type 2, but type of treatment - see DVLA page https://www.gov.uk/diabetes-drivingIf one is diagnoised with type 2 do you have to inform Dvla?
I disagree - You should let your insurance company know as soon as you are diagnosed, whatever the treatment is. See here: http://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes-and-car-insurance.htmlNo , nor your insurance, travel insurance you will need to though.
As you are on metformin no to dvla but do cover yourself by telling your ins company. There are different rules and regulations for commercial driver ie., taxi so do check if that is the case.If one is diagnoised with type 2 do you have to inform Dvla?
