i got diagnosed in October so 3 months in, i found my levels were staying in double figures as i was taking my long lasting insulin at 6am...my consultant has since told me to change that to night time so now take at 9pm...gradually moved it to 9pm as of last week and even though its Christmas time where portions and snacks are all over the place, i do manage to keep my blood sugars between 5 and 7 for the most part. as frustrating as it can be when you get a slightly high figure its all about learning and once you start having your consultations they will help massively. so im not saying change anything as always wait for professional advice, but i have seen positives from those changes.....ps. Pork Crunch or popcorn sort my cravings out and nail the water to fill you up
