Hello again, I was here back in 2009 when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes (baby was born at 37weeks via elective c-section, 1 week in SCBU on a drip till we got her blood sugars normalised) and luckily I was back to normal soon after she was born.

In October I began having headaches that progressively got worse, then The Thirst began, and the peeing, and the falling asleep after food, and my vision is not so much blurry, but far from the high definition I am used to. So off to the GP who didn't really think I was diabetic since I'm 'only' 30 and there is no history, but I bet him a fiver that I was. He owes me a fiver.

My GTT bloods were just over the limit, but deffinately diabetic so here I am. I have made a lot of changes to my diet which was frankly a chocaholics binge-fest. My headahces have eased up a lot and I do feel a bit better. I'll see the dietician soon as well as podiatry. My BP was high and now with the diabetes they will want to start me on medication (joy of joys).

Right now I am struggling with finding snacks that won't trigger a headache and I crave sugar after I have dnner. Apart from that I'm coping okay. Just wanted to say hiya.
