Thanks for the kind welcome chaps and chapesses 8) , just returned from the DESMOND course, I was the youngest (34 y.o.) there, I have got to admit I was impressed lots of useful information given out, done in two sessions the morning session was all about diabetes, the medications available, and other consequences of having diabetes (things like diabetic retinopathy etc etc). The afternoon session was all about lifestyle changes, diet, and having good control over the diabetes. There were a few laughs along the way :lol: :lol: , I did acctually find out my HbA1c results which were forwarded from the quacks, a straight 10 % :shock: . All in all a very good day was had by all. By the way you can self refer to the DESMOND course (according to (HCP name removed)one of the healthcare advisors). If you can I would recommend getting on one of these courses.
