Good morning
Yes just ask your gp for the med exemption application. You sign it at the Surgury and they send it off for you.lasts 3 years

Is that screen name your idea of humour?

I guess I was lucky, when my Doctor first prescribed the metformin, she got out the exemption form, filled what she need to in and gave it me to show to the Chemist, where I was give the tablets for free straight off and just told that they could only really do it the once so I would have to fill in what I need to and send it off straight away. The card came quickly and I haven't had to pay for prescriptions since.

I have a feeling he was not referring to your user name.

Hello Laurarigg and welcome to the forum, nice to meet you
