Night time bloods extremely high

3 months ago I changed onto 5 injections a day with a split background levemir insulin, and I just can't seem to get things right, I was going low in the night so dropped my night time levemir and now I am going really high during the night around 4.00am. Can anyone help that has had the same problem as I am having really disturbed nights and finding myself so tired cos of it

I take 18 units of levermir 12 hrs apart at 7am and 7 pm. I've found if I have my sugars between 8-9 before bed I wake up at 4-6. Maybe try upping it by one or two before bed. My nurse told me to keep my sugars around 8 before bed. She's a t1 herself. It worked for me. X

Thanks for the reply! Do you have 18 levemir am plus 18 levemir pm? Or 18 altogether? I've been told I should be on around 26 altogether but I'm already on more than that and I think I need to increase it!
