The low carb diet works to deplete the glycogen fat storeed in the liver and also muscle tissue. glycogen comprises just glucose attached to water molecules. So you are weeing glucose, and the water makes that happen. When you first go onto keto or a low-carb diet, you do pass a lot of water as that is one of the first things, the body empties when low in carbs, so it could be that
It is relatively benign, but it can flush out electrolytes such as sodium. LC starters are advised to add salt to their meals to compensate in the early days. you may also wish to consider increasing fat intake to compensate loss of carb driven energy.so is it a good thing ?
Me too. Just another effect of getting old. Better than some of the alternatives. My average is around 3-4 times a night.
For me, it was one of the "triggers" that led to my diabetes diagnosis. I was going anything up to 6 times a night, and like most men I buried my head in the sand and didn't do anything about it, until I was too tired to do anything during the day. It's not perfect now, but it's better now I'm retired. No one minds if I take a nap in the afternoon.Me too. Just another effect of getting old. Better than some of the alternatives.

I am glad your retirement is working out well for you. Sadly, not everyone has that choice Many people need the money they earn to be able to feed and house themselves and dependencies.I took early retirement just to take care of my diabetes. Personally health is more important than money. So far working out well. Diabetes is well controlled without medicine.Omar
