No alerts.

If you ignore an alert for a watched thread and don't visit the thread you won't get an alert for that thread again unless someone tags or quotes you. Can this be the issue?
Hi.thanks for replying.I go on the threads every day.Morning bg( "with some chat" and "with little chat")

Could it be because I haven't posted for a few days?yes, both set to "watch"

Only if you have missed an alert.

You can go to alerts and scroll down to see when you last had an alert for that thread. It's very easy to sometimes 'lose' a thread, but you should get alerts again after visiting such a thread.

The last alert I had from fasting bg(with some chat) was on monday. There are no Alerts before this. Perhaps I have clicked something I should't have.

Had 1 alert this morning but there were more readings after it but no alerts.

You will only get the one alert to the first post after your last visit, not an alert for every post, as @Antje77 says if you don’t click on that alert you won’t get anymore alerts until you’ve visited the thread again

The alert likely said something like "Member X replied to the thread Y. There may be more posts after this."
So one alert to let you know something happened on that thread since you last looked. If you visit the thread you'll get a new alert the first time someone posts after your visit.

This makes a lot of sense. Some threads move very quick with lots of posts each day. Imagine having 70 new alerts, 65 of which alerting to the same thread. It would be very hard to find the alerts for quieter threads between those.

If you're wondering if you have 'lost' a thread, you can go to 'Watched threads' on the top left.
