Non sticking pump infusion set (adhesive bit!)

Just started using a pump and after the first day the adhesive on the infusion set had worn away? Was told that you could buy/get on prescription something either wipes or liquid to help adhesive adhersion? They have something in the US of A called SkinTac but doctor couldnt find on NHS database. Someone else also suggested sticking Tegaderm dressing to skin then putting cannula/infusion set through/onto this?? Any suggestions would be warmly accepted!!
 
Hi Tim, we have been using a pump for 6 months now and we had problems with them coming unstuck at first. We have tried allsorts of stuff to get them to stick including Friars Balsam which does work to some extent but the best stuff is definitely Skin Tac. As far as I know this is not available on prescription and we buy it direct from the importers. MG Healthcare. It costs about £17 for a box of 50 wipes but the stuff is amazing. My daughter has even been on holiday and spent most of her daytime in the sea and it has never come off. You will need some sort of remover wipe to get it off but we get that on rescription, Universal remover wipes. If you contact MG Healthcare they will send you free samples to try.
