I know it's not the end of the world exactly but wanted to vent to people who understand.
Have been doing better with my diabetes recently although still bits to iron out & was looking forward to this hba1c & hopefully seeing an improvement. I'm due to have my bloods taken this morning.
So, last night I took a few gulps of sugary coke after being given the wrong drink whilst out, then this morning the dogs peed in the house (some pillows in our bedroom which we are decorating none the less), then slipping down the stairs & this on top of a cold. I'm feeling I won't be seeing the improvements I wanted to .
Yes, it doesn't measure yesterday's coke or today's dog pee. It measures all the other times over the last three months so if it's high then that's where the trouble lies.
When you get the result can you come back and let us all know what it is.
Thank you all. I mentioned it to the nurse as she did my bp & asked if i was a bit stressed as it was a bit higher than last time. She said its 12 weeks so should be a bit better & that made us relax a bit. I came away with a leaflet for the bambino clinic which is an eventual aim once I'm sorted.
My appointment with the specialist is Wednesday so will let you all know
Thanks again, sometimes it just feels like something's out to get you, you know? Onwards & upwards!
Today is the day I will get my latest hba1c! Found out on Monday my last one was 9 which the nurse said wasn't too bad, but I definitely want an improvement. Fingers crossed!

Not so good . It was 9.1. She said that my blood count is low so I have an appointment to see the dr about anaemia on Friday. She said the low blood count has affected my hba1c so we'll just go by my BS readings. Still feel a bit disappointment though, always seems to be something wrong. :/
