visitorf1 i have looked over your posts and i can't see anywhere that anyone has been anything but helpful, now you may of had some PM's abnd yes there are a few people on here who Know better and tlak to you as if a child but generally plenty of advice .. and thats all it is advice from peoples experience and learning... ignore the people who are rude laugh with or at most of the others.

If you feel its that bad you must go well good luck to you but this site has so much information.

Hi Like you I am new to the forum and posted on the meet and greet topic without response, but I don't feel miffed about it, forums are what you make of them. Use the site and the forums as an educational tool and informal advice centre and you'll get the true benefit of what these places are for.

I've learned loads already and mostly through people sharing their experiences via the forum, so stick with it and don't forget to check old posts because quite often the same questions have been asked over and over, so the answers and advice are almost always already there.

To Vistor fromwhat I have just read from your threads and posts, you have thanked people for input and their advice. In your previous posts maybe some things you have read you have got a little 'mixed' up and not read them throughly, I think most people do that, the 'medics' were you asking if people, who replied were medics, because I know there have been nurses and a doctor at some point, but any medical advice, help or support should be seen by a GPor DSN or other professional.

I can see why you have decided to go, some of the replies I have read are unbelieveable and are nothing short of bullying,name calling,personal remarks, ridicule and ganging up :shock: It's pretty disgusting reading some of them, some of you should be ashamed, for christ sake, give sone people a break can't you. Somethings people get mixed up,can't put down their thoughts properly or are so stressed and worried medical problems, it comes out a bit mixed up and some people may only know a small amount of English. If you don't like what you have read then move on to something else, you're not in the playground now.
Bombshells post ( some members with their nasty jibes and comments) just says it all, doesn't it? It really sickens me and I had to finally say something :x If you want to start an argument or tear someone to shreds, then maybe you could try a mirror Thats it and I hope Admin or a moderator reads this.

Simply to stop people getting upset i would have thought.
I'm sorry if you feel i riled you.
Wasn't my intention. Like yourself, i simply spoke up about it.
I think the only people who are benefiting from this thread are the people reading ( not everybody) who are laughing at our expense at the bickering.
I'm not trying to ignite tempers here, i accept my irreverent humour has offended and for that i will apologise to anybody who feels i overstepped the mark.
The original poster publicly declared their intention to leave a forum and people picked up on that in various ways.
I wont post on this thread anymore. I'm done.

It probably isn't the case BUT for all we know the OP could have been depressed when he posted this thread and instead of that crossing anyones mind he has been ridiculed by some on here.

I've developed a fairly thick skin but even so I know how hurtful it can be to be made fun of and I'm ashamed to have not said something earlier.
 
This forum has been a real support for me. We know that the contributors ar just ordinary people who happen to have diabetis.
That is why we write here. I personally want to know how to deal with any problems as a human not a medical being. If I want medical advise I have a doctor and nurse I can talk to

I love this forum

i have found some very useful information on here, and with every forum on the internet, from behind a screen anonimity can breed a bit of nastiness, but also a can mean the meanings of posts can be misread. No need to fly off the forum, just make a fresh start.
 
The OP wanted a reaction and they got one. The whole logic of the post is floored and unfortunately RRB you were hook, line and sinkerd with this one.
 
People are not being made fun of .... It's just different senses of humour!!!

If you are not happy with the forum just log out and don't go back on it. Don't make a song and dance about leaving. Get a life and a sense of humour !!!

NO Tony but you are wrong, I spoke up, that's all :thumbup: and I certainly haven't been sunk at all :crazy: Also, this is getting away from The OP's original post, which was recently commented on by a mod.
