I think your chemist is telling rather large porkies...
If novorapid vials had been discontinued then you would have been aware of this...
There is a set procedure that companies have to follow before discontining an item such as a insulin container..
And it starts about 1 years before they discontinual them..
Novo-Nordisc will make it public knowledge that it intends to do this now adays they will make an anouncment on their website..
Then they contact the Health Care Athourties around the world to inform them it going to happen on xxx date, so that each country can inform all the doctors/consultants and clinics..
Also they will also put a notice on the packaging for you to contact your health care professionals..
This is the procedure that Lilley & Lilley followed when the discontined their 1.5mml/l cartridges, with the exceptiion of the web as it wasn't available at the time..
So I found out when I noticed the warning notice on the packaging telling me to contact my health care provider.. This happened about 6 months before they discontined the cartridges.. I had to change to adult 3ml cartridges and pens..
Ring novo-nordisc tomorrow check whether they are a supply problem, which I doubt as I haven't hard this mentioned anywhere else..
And take your prescription to another chemist..
