Hi
I Seem to have started to lose some feeling in my toes, it's a strange feeling . I can't say it is painful but it just feels odd. I'm trying to get a GP appiontment which is proving difficult. Has anyone else experienced this ? And is there any treatments
Thank you
Mark
Hi @chevy57, We on site cannot diagnose but the type of questions that might help you when seeing the doctor include:
which toes are affected - all, left or right feet, just some on one side or on both sides? Any low back pain or past history of back injury? ? Headache, vision troubles, dizziness, stomach/bowel upsets, urinary troubles. Any nail, skin, hair changes on legs or feet.? Any particular diet you follow e.g. vegan. Family history of any illnesses ?
Please let us all know how you get on. Goggling or reading up on 'numbness of toes" brings up so many possible causes - the above questions worked out from some of these myriad causes is not meant to worry you.
I like my doctor to be as fully informed of my history as possible and for him to leave no stone unturned to get to the bottom of the mystery!! Best Wishes to a quick and thorough answer and way to treat whatever the cause is !!
Hi chevy57,hope i am wrong, but the numbness in your toes could be the early sign of neuropathy. I have it since 4-5 months for now. Best treatment is a very strict BG control. Improvement can take months, they say.

When I asked my neurologist about the numbness in my feet and hands he ordered a HbA1c done that's how I found out I had diabetes as I had been on long term prednisolone I should have been given regular tests but had never had one done till then.
