Recently I have noticed I been getting awful tingling and numbness in both my hands and sometimes it doesn't go away . I bit worried cause as a diabetic and if rue control isn't good u can have major problems like rue nerve system can be damaged and u can loose limbs have heart problems kidney pron etc but the problem I having is with my hands so any ideas please feel free to answer it
I get it in the feet and have had I for a few years (very mild) the feet some times feel hot or cold at times, with me this was diagnosed as diabetic nerve damage. Getting better with your BS levels helps with the symptoms, if left to long the damage can be permanent, I wood see your doctor to check it out. My doctor now treats this with a anti depressant, before this it was treated with a epilepsy medication.
Having been diagnosed with none alcoholic fatty liver disease a few months ago then type 2 diabetes the tingles and cramps in both arms & legs has been causing pains for a while and there that bad it wakes me up in the night so its off to the doctor tomorrow to see what they say
Did the nurse mention Carpal Tunnel Syndrome to you? This only affects the thumb, forefinger, middle finger and inside of the ring finger, and is usually worse at night but can be bad at any time. I have suffered from it in the past but surgery resolved it, so just thought I'd mention it in case your numbness is affecting those particular fingers. Good luck with getting it resolved, whatever the problem.
Went shopping at tesco's this morning came back collapsed felt all hot & sweaty couldn't focus or stand up until I had a sip of emergency lucazade which I keep handy
