Hi all, I am a community specialist nurse and have type 2. We have been asked to get Lead Professional advice as to if we are safe to be at work.
I have been waiting since Friday for advice from my GP. In the interim my employer is still expecting me to visit families at home with no protective equipment other than a plastic apron and disposable gloves.
I am increasingly stressed about my risk, especially as I am the only surviving parent to my 4 children.
Anyone else had key worker advice?

Hi and welcome,

I am sorry that you are in this extremely difficult situation.
I can’t really speak to your Key Worker situation, and because I am not sure what your role involves - except to say that your employer should NOT be expecting you to work in unsafe situations, without suitable equipment, and the capacity to maintain social distancing.

I will tag in @LooperCat who has been trained in the appropriate measures for her role and who may be able to contribute.
